AptaHotTaq is a HotStart polymerase that uses DNA-aptamers instead of antibodies for blocking of polymerase activity at ambient temperature. The DNA-aptamers dissociate reversibly from the enzyme at temperatures above 50 °C. This allows convenient assembly of PCR reactions at room-temperature for the polymerase is activated during normal cycling conditions.
With ApatHotTaq fragments up to 5 kb can be amplified. The recombinant Taq polymerase has high specifity, PCR products are free of unspecific products and primer-dimers. Suitable for amplification of complex genomic and cDNA templates.
The polymerase is supplied with three different 10x buffers (with and without MgCl2) and additional MgCl2 for universal application on customers side.
AptaHotTaq is high concentrated with 30 U/µl.
