Description
SuperHotTaq DNA Polymerase HC, 30 U/µl is a highly concentrated HotStart PCR enzyme consisting of recombinant Taq DNA polymerase complexed with anti-Taq monoclonal antibodies. The antibody-mediated inhibition prevents polymerase activity during PCR set-up at room temperature, minimizing non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation. Full enzyme activity is automatically restored during the initial denaturation step above 70 °C.
The enzyme efficiently amplifies DNA fragments up to 5 kb and is ideally suited for demanding PCR applications including complex genomic DNA, cDNA templates, low copy number targets, multiplex PCR, and real-time PCR.
With a concentration of 30 U/µl, SuperHotTaq DNA Polymerase HC is specifically designed for diagnostic kit manufacturing, automated workflows, and lab-on-a-chip applications where low reaction volumes and highly concentrated enzyme formulations are required. The enzyme possesses a robust 5’→3’ polymerase activity and generates PCR products with 3’-A overhangs, making it compatible with standard TA cloning workflows.
For maximum flexibility in assay optimization, the polymerase is supplied with three different 10x reaction buffers:
- Incomplete NH4 buffer (without MgCl2)
- Complete NH4 buffer
- Complete KCl buffer
Additional MgCl2 solution is included for individual optimization of magnesium concentration according to specific assay requirements.
A glycerol-free variant is available (REF 129030HC-GF) and is particularly suitable for lyophilization and dry-format assay production.
