Description
RNase Inhibitor is a recombinant murine ribonuclease inhibitor designed to protect RNA from degradation during RNA handling, reverse transcription, cDNA synthesis, in vitro transcription, and other RNA-based workflows. The protein provides broad-spectrum inhibition of RNases A, B, and C, helping to maintain RNA integrity and maximize the reliability of downstream molecular biology applications.
With a molecular weight of approximately 50 kDa, RNase Inhibitor forms stable non-covalent complexes with target RNases, effectively preventing RNA degradation without interfering with enzymatic reactions. The inhibitor does not affect the activity of reverse transcriptases, Taq DNA polymerases, or RNA polymerases such as T7, T3, and SP6, making it fully compatible with a wide range of molecular biology protocols.
The recombinant murine protein exhibits significantly improved stability compared to conventional RNase inhibitors and is supplied free of detectable protease, exonuclease, and nickase activities. This ensures reliable performance in sensitive RNA applications and minimizes the risk of sample degradation.
RNase Inhibitor is optimized for workflows where preservation of RNA quality is critical, including RNA isolation and purification, first-strand cDNA synthesis, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, gene expression analysis, next-generation sequencing (NGS), in vitro transcription, and RNA-based diagnostic assay development.
For optimal RNA protection, the inhibitor should be added early during reaction setup before introducing components that may potentially contain RNase contamination.
