Description

Rons RNase BeGone – Mammalian RNase Inhibitor is a recombinant mammalian ribonuclease inhibitor designed to protect RNA from degradation caused by endogenous or environmental RNases during RNA handling and processing. It is ideally suited for workflows such as reverse transcription, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, RNA purification, and RNA structural or functional studies, where maintaining of RNA integrity is critical.

With a molecular weight of approximately 49 kDa, Rons RNase BeGone – Mammalian RNase Inhibitor is recombinantly expressed in E. coli, ensuring consistent quality and eliminating the risk of contamination with infectious agents. The inhibitor forms stable complexes with RNases, effectively preventing RNA degradation while maintaining compatibility with key enzymatic reactions. Rons RNase BeGone – Mammalian RNase Inhibitor does not interfere with the activity of Taq DNA Polymerase or M-MLV Reverse Transcriptase, making it fully suitable for PCR-based and reverse transcription applications.

Engineered for enhanced stability, Rons RNase BeGone – Mammalian RNase Inhibitor exhibits exceptional resistance to oxidation due to its optimized structure with fewer cysteine residues. This design ensures reliable and reproducible performance even under demanding experimental conditions. The inhibitor remains stable at temperatures up to 50 °C, providing flexibility across a wide range of protocols.

Rons RNase BeGone – Mammalian RNase Inhibitor is supplied at a concentration of 40 U/µl. One unit is defined as the amount required to inhibit 50% of the activity of 5 ng RNase A. For optimal stability during use, the addition of 1 mM DTT to the assay buffer is recommended.

The inhibitor is optimized for applications requiring stringent RNA protection, including RNA isolation and purification, first-strand cDNA synthesis, one-step RT-PCR, one-step RT-qPCR, gene expression analysis, and RNA-based assay development. For best results, Rons RNase BeGone – Mammalian RNase Inhibitor should be added early in the workflow before introducing components that may contain RNase contamination.

Rons RNase BeGone – Mammalian RNase Inhibitor is stored at -18 °C to -25 °C to maintain activity and long-term stability.
