Description

Rons Gel Extraction Mini Kit provides fast, reliable and high-yield purification of DNA fragments from standard or low-melt agarose gels prepared in TAE or TBE buffer systems. The kit is optimized for recovery of DNA fragments ranging from 50 bp to 40 kb and enables purification directly from gel slices in approximately 15 minutes.

The purification procedure is based on silica spin column technology and an optimized buffer system for efficient DNA binding, washing and elution. DNA is selectively adsorbed to the silica membrane while agarose residues, salts, enzymes and other contaminants are efficiently removed during the washing process. The purified DNA is directly eluted in a low-salt buffer and is immediately suitable for downstream molecular biology applications.

Rons Gel Extraction Mini Kit enables high DNA recovery and reproducible results from gel slices of up to 100–150 mg. The rapid workflow eliminates the need for hazardous chemicals such as phenol or chloroform and simplifies DNA recovery from analytical and preparative agarose gels.

The purified DNA is suitable for PCR, qPCR, sequencing, cloning, genotyping, restriction analysis, hybridization assays and NGS library preparation.
