PspPI is a restriction enzyme purified from Psychrobacter immobilis TA137 with a concentration of 10 U/µl. It is an isoschizomer to Sau96I. Restriction endonucleases are used in biotechnology for gene cloning, to cut DNA in smaller strands to study similarities and differences in fragment length among individuals like in RFLP (Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism). BIORONs restriction enzymes show high purity and activity.
PspP I can be heat-inactivated with 15 min at 55 °C and shows 100% activity in BIORON buffers M and K (supplied with the enzyme).
