BamH I is a restriction enzyme purified from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens H with a concentration of 10 U/µl. Restriction endonucleases are used in biotechnology for gene cloning, to cut DNA in smaller strands to study similarities and differences in fragment length among individuals like in RFLP (Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism). BIORONs restriction enzymes show high purity and activity.
BamH I can be heat-inactivated after 20 min at 80°C and shows 100% activity in BIORON buffers M, H and K (supplied with the enzyme).
