Tth Polymerase 5 U/µl is a thermostable DNA polymerase with intrinsic reverse transcription activity, but no RNAse H activity. The enzyme has a size of 94 kDA and was isolated from eubacterium Thermus aquaticus strain YT-1. Tth Polymerase shows a RNA-dependent DNA-polymerase activity in presence of Mn2+ ions. Fragments can be reverse transcript and amplified up to 3 – 4 kb.
Tth Polymeerase can be used for Reverse Transcription and regular PCR methods, but is not recommended for PCR product cloning (adds 3’dA overhangs). Supplied with three different buffers for RT, PCR and one-step reactions and additional MnCl2.
