SNPase Hotstart DNA Polymerase 20 U/µl is an optimized version of Taq DNA Polymerase. A mutation in active site leads to higher specifity and higher precision with low mutation rate. SNPase HotStart has 5′-3′ polymerase activity only, but realtive mutation rate is 10-15 fold lower compared to Taq DNA Polymerase. Polymerase is blocked by antibody until higher temperature, so reaction setup at room temperature is possible. Recommended for SNP Genotyping, DNA Sequencing and Minisequencing. For applications where HotStart is not needed, Klen SNPase without antibody can be used.
SNPase Hotstart DNA Polymerase is supplied with 5x PCR buffer and additional MgCl2 for universal application on customers side.
