T4 Polynucleotide Kinease (PNK) 20 U/µl catalyses the transfer of terminal phosphate from the gamma position of ATP to the 5`-hydroxyl terminus of polynucleotides (double- and single-stranded DNA or RNA) and nucleoside 3`-monophosphates. PNK also catalyses the exchange of 5`-terminal phosphates and exhibits a 3`-phosphatase activity. The enzyme is purified from E.coli and is used for labeling probes for sequencing, removal of 3’-phosphoryl groups and addition of 5’-phosphates to oligonucleotides.
