T4 DNA Ligase catalyses the formation of a phosphodiester bond between 5’- phosphate and 3’-hydroxyl termini in duplex DNA or RNA. The recombinant enzyme was purified from E.coli. T4 DNA Ligase can link blunt end and cohesive end termini, repair single stranded nicks in duplex DNA and RNA or hybrids of DNA/RNA and is used in applications like cloning or connecting linkers and adapters to DNA.
