DNA-RNA-Synthesizer

Introduction

The ASM-800 model is really ideal for the laboratory usage -  it's flexible, economic in consumption of chemicals, a lot of self-testing functions are provided with the software. The synthesis scale is 50/100/200/400 nmol, the maximal scale is close to your need. In addition to the routing synthesis,  modified oligonucleotides (please visit New Products section) may be easily synthesized. Four additional places for the special chemicals are designed in the machine (in total - 8 places). We like to draw your attention to the fact that the offer of low-scale oligo-machines on the market is quite limited. Especially for the price we offer ASM-800 - it's just surprising.

The manufacturer develops and produces the instruments for DNA/RNA synthesis since 1994 and now we sold more than 70 units of DNA synthesizers. The synthesizers are already successfully working in a number of academic research centers and companies worldwide (USA, France, Denmark, Lithuania, Malaysia, China etc). Compared to similar equipment offered by other companies our synthesizers have extremely lower consumption of the reagents (mostly phosphoramidites) with high quality of oligos.

DNA synthesizers from BIORON are fully automated instruments for the synthesis of natural and modified oligonucleotides. They have been specially designed to meet requirements for efficiency, economy, and reliability both in the batch production of oligonucleotides and scientific research.

The unique design of fluid systems provides high economy of the synthesis due to low consumption of reagents and high coupling efficiency.

ASM-800 DNA synthesizer is an eight-column instrument for parallel synthesis. Eight different oligonucleotides (25-30 mer) can be produced simultaneously for less than 3.5 hours. The synthesizer  provides a synthesis of  long length oligonucleotides (up to 200 mer). The original design of ASM-800 allows the cost-effective oligonucleotide synthesis in wide range of scale (from 50 to 3000 nmol). The instrument provides synthesis with twice economy of both time and reagents in comparison to well-known analogs. The sythesizer can be applied for synthesis of oligonucleotides with different modifications (fluorescein, biotin, Cy 3, Cy 5, phosphotioate, etc).

Some features of BIORON's DNA synthesizers

High-precise delivery
Reagents and solvents are delivered to the synthesis columns by syringe-pump with an accuracy  of 1 µl.

Efficient mixing of reagents
The synthesizer allows automatic mixing from 2 to 8 monomers for the synthesis of mixed probes.

Thermal stability
A built-in thermostat stabilizes reaction conditions.

Scale flexibility
The automated synthesis on 50/100/200/400 nmol column scale is available. Synthesis protocols provided for each scale ensure minimum expenditure of chemicals.

Reagent compatibility
BIORON's DNA synthesizers successfully operate with reagents of world-wide producers: Applied Biosystems, Beckman, Biosearch, Cruachem, Glen Research, Pharmacia Biotech and others.

Complete computer control
All operations are controlled by IBM PC-compatible computer under Windows 98/NT/2000 and using RS-232 C interface. A simple software controls all of synthesis stages including preparation, testing, manual, run, and shut-down procedures. Oligonucleotides of up to 250 bases long can be synthesized. The synthesis procedure protocols and DNA/RNA sequences are disk-stored; they can be edited and printed. Original protocols for the specific tasks can be easily created. Convenient and flexible programming procedure provides high potential for the development of new synthetic chemistries and  techniques.

Operation control
DNA synthesizers are fitted with an automatic system for operative control of all elements: valves, pump, thermostat, electronic control unit, etc.

The synthesizers have been used successfully to synthesize both DNA and RNA by H-phosphonate chemistry.
