BIORON GmbH

BIORON offers different primers for Reverse Transcription and other applications.

The Random Primer is a mixture of single-stranded random hexanucleotides with 5’- and 3’-hydroxyl ends. Random Hexamer Primers can be used for first-strand cDNA synthesis and cloning. The primer is supplied in lyophilized form.

The Oligo (dT) 15  Primer is designed to initiate synthesis of a cDNA from total RNA in a reverse transcription reaction. For use in generating labeled cDNA for screening microarrays.

The Exo-Resistant Random Primer is a mixture of single-stranded random thio-oligonucleotides used for highly efficient random priming of various DNA synthesis reactions. Primer contains modified nucleotides that are resistant to 3’ → 5’ exonuclease activity of proof-reading enzymes as Pfu DNA Polymerase or Phi29 DNA Polymerase.
