General applications of aminoallyl dNTPs  

  • Enzymatic indirect non-radioactive labeling of DNA in PCR, nick-translation, cDNA synthesis or primer extension reactions.       
  • Can be incorporated into DNA using Reverse Transcriptases, Taq DNA Polymerase, Klenow Fragment.       
  • The resulting aminoallyl-containing DNA can be subsequently labeled with any amine-reactive fluorescent dye, biotin or hapten, resulting in a uniform and high density labeling of DNA.
